However, I cannot find any way to set the grid origin (or an intersection point of the grid) at a desired location in the Layout.
The Grid origin defaults to one corner of the Layout which is useless since Layout have usually a Title block.
Is there any way to set the grid origin at a selected point ?

Use the Aux. grid with a step of 1 to move the start point of the real grid. It takes some experimentation to center the grid on the sheet.

The grid tool is nice to use but often hard to set up.
I have preferred to use hotspots on the Master page. You can set them on a layer which could be shut off it you choose.
I set up our pages using the Uniform Guidelines for the page grid system.
So my hotspots are 5 3/4" apart running vertically and 6" running horizontally.
Snap points exactly where I want and coordinated to every kind of Master Layout that I plan to use.
