How to save selected part to view in layout

i want to select a part of the map to view in the layout of archicad,how to make it?
i had tried to use marquee to select the part i want but it can't.
i also try to use "save view in layout" but didn't success too.
anyone can help ?i'm new to archicad. thanks

When saving your View, be sure that "Current Zoom" is selected. You can always edit this later, after-the-fact, if you didn't select this while creating the View.
Once you save your View... Go to the Layout, if the View has not been placed, place it on the Layout... Once placed, you can "crop" the edges of the placed View by selecting and dragging the edges to frame your desired View.
Also, be sure that the View cropping option is checked in your "Layout" section of Project Preferences (AC12) or the "More Options" section of Work Environment (AC13).
