Import AC List into Plotmaker?

I've been trying to add more standards to our document production and decided that it looked like you could have PM link directly to an AC List (as opposed to an Interactive Schedule that must be manually updated in AC to reflect any drawing changes). However when I add the list to my Publisher set it works great in AC (double click on the publisher link and the list opens) but I can't seem to get PM to import it as a link. I either get a copy of the floor plan or I get an error message.
Anyone had success in getting lists directly into PM w/o exporting them as plotfiles (which I've had come in at the wrong size, I set them up to be a certain width in inches and they come out nearly twice as big, AC seems to want to attach the active floor plan scale of 1:48 even though I set the lists up as 1:1, and then I had to change the scale to 1:100. I haven't quite figured out the math on that one)?

Since you can't really control the scale in the List window...The trick is to set the desired scale for the output of the List window before setting a "View Set" for the List window. The scale should then be saved with the "View Set".

I just tested it on my WinXP install of AC8.1/PM3.1 and it seems to work fine.
