Light Schedules for 3D documents

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi:

I'm creating my project reflected ceiling and lighting plans from 3D documents. But when creating the light schedules, symbols don't match even if it set to "reflected ceiling".

Is there any setting or over ride for this?

Thanks!

I can't say I have ever done this.
But the schedules will schedule objects from the plan and 3D model.
So if your 3D Document reflected ceiling plan is changing the appearance of the objects, you will not see this change in the schedule, as it can not schedule anything from a 3D document.

I would expect that they appear in the schedule as they appear in the plan that you create the 3D Document from.
Or is this not the case?

Yes, that's what happens, son there is a miss match between the schedule and 3d document light representation.

I was just thinking.
You should be saving a view of the schedule that you place on your layout.
In the view settings it will use a particular Model View Option.
You need to set this to a Model view option that sets the reflected ceiling plan option.
This should set your object to appear as they would in a reflected ceiling plan.

Thanks for your reply.

I've done that change but it won't stay.

Once you go back to the setting it is still in realistic, so nothing happens...am I doing something wrong?

So do you have an MVO combination that has reflected ceiling set?
If so then set that MVO in the schedule view settings.

Or are you saying you can't get an MVO to retain the reflected ceiling setting?
If that is the case you need to create a new MVO combination or 'Store As' to one of your existing combinations - the one you will use in the schedule view settings.
