Link all files except maybe 10 to different Archicad file

We are working on a project in V9 and I saved our plp file to a pln file and now I need to relink all files in plotmaker back to the pln file instead of the plp file. When I highlight all the files I want to change ( I also tried only story files) the box changes from LINK TO to READ FROM and then lets me choose only the folder the file is in!!!! There has to be an easier way!

Thanks for any ideas,
Michele

there is some strangeness going on with the whole 'link to' / 'read from' functionality. the idea is that as long as all of the placed drawings are coming from the same source you should get a 'link to' button. if the drawings are multi-source you get the 'read from' to choose a folder in which they are contained . . .

however. i have noticed a lot of odd quirks when trying to do this myself. for some reason archicad loses its way with one or two drawings - which affects the ability to link the whole lot. last time i tried this, i did notice that the offending drawing was the one placed on the layout window that was foremost in the application at the time. coincidence maybe . . ?

i highlight all of the drawings one-by-one in the drawing manager and watch the link/read button. when it changes i simply deselect that drawing and continue selecting the others until i've filtered out the bad drawings and i can batch link the bulk of them. unfortunately the bad drawings then have to be re-linked individually afterwards . . .

Thanks, I did what you said and found the ones that were wrecking it for the rest of them.

Thanks again,
