Moving Layout Book elements from one project to another

Hi,

we are about to divide a large project file into more smaller ones because of its size. We move Documentation items (Layouts) into a separate file from the Model file and use Model Views as external drawings. This involves operations when one wants to move Layouts and Subsets from one file to another, but it seems that it's not among ArchiCAD's stengths.

Is it possible, if so, how (UI-based or API-based):

- Copy or move a Subset from a file to another (no clipboard copy and/or paste; like copy-pasting drawing elements from a model to another one is straigthforward, the same for Layout items not)

- Decide whether a View in a View Map is placed into among Subsets (kind of "is it used"). I could do it using a pyhton script (its navigatorItem.navigatorItemId.guid is a View's navigatorItem.sourceNavigatorItemId.guid but I'm not sure that I get the right results (Plus I'm not sure that if the GUID-matching works between Views of two different files, i mean the View's GUID in a file is identical a Layout Book item's source GUID in another file).

Any experiences regarding all these?

Thanks in advance.
