I am an Application Engineer for a Wide Format Printing Equipment Dealer. We have installed a Oce TDS320 (Replaces the TDS300 which replaced the 9300) in a "mostly" Windows network. There are a handful of AC Mac users who need to print / plot to the device. We have sucessfuly installed a HP Device driver that points to the Oce device and users can print from AC. When we attempt to connect Plotflow to the TCP/IP address with port 9100 it will not connect? The device fully emulates HPGL/2 Plotter but I am unsure if the port is correct. In a Windows environment (and MAC printer) the device connection for LPR would be simply defined as the IP Address + the Queue Name, so I am unfamiliar with what port might actually be needed. AC Release 9 Build 2219. TIA For any input.

Thanks for the reply - does the 9300 have an internal ehternet print server (by Oce) or an external HP JetDirect type print server?

the port number is correct . . . your jetdirect box is configured right is it? can you see the jetdirect box with the terminal on the mac?
Applications>Utilities>Terminal
then...
telnet your.IP.number.here
if you're on the right subnet's and you can telnet into the jetdirect box, plotflow should be able to find it no problem.
try the US knowledge base articles:

i seem to recall several concerning jetdirect setups and plotflow . . .

I had forgotten about the Jetdirect box. I had to go to a PC to change the default address to get it on the same system as my computer. I think it comes with a 190.x.x.xxx and I had to get it on the 10.x.x.xx. So, that could be your issue too. You could change the computers set up, but I also have Airport (and DSL) to deal with, so the 10.x.x.xx worked best for me in other ways. You are supposed to be able to change the Jetdirect box via telnet, but I wasn't successful. I had to go to a pc and do it.
