Plotmaker to dwg - images don't show

I use templates in PM9 that have a .tiff image with the company logo. The problem is that I can't get these to show when I save drawings as dwg files using Publisher. I've already tried to translate them as BMPs, Jpegs and all the rest, but nothing worked. What am I missing?

Have you tried the various settings in the Save Options or your translator?

One workaround that ~may~ work is to double click on the image in PM, and in the window that appears, select your image a copy it to the clipboard (ctrl/cmd +C), then close the window, delete your original image and paste the copy back in.

I haven't tested this myself, but would be interested to see how it goes.

Cheers,

It worked!! javascript:emoticon(':)') I'll now do it in all my templates.
I had already tried all options in the translator and none worked...

Thanks for the help!

Sweet. I especially like this method because it breaks the link and places the image on a layer, so you can turn it on or off with layer control if you want.

I did do this with some success until I realized that elements of the image that have a value less than black are not printing. When the image is imported as a "picture" in PM, it prints correctly. When the same image is cut>paste onto the layout, it appears correctly on screen, but any graytones do not print. I've tried experimenting with different image resolutions to no avail.

Anyone out there have any suggestions?

AHA! (for anyone who may care)...

The difference is the Ouput Color setting under Book Settings: This setting affects elements drawn or pasted into Layouts, but not drawings or images placed by the Import command. I changed it from "All Colors to Black" to "Grayscale" and all is well...

Another option to check is by rightclicking the viewport in Autocad and select the option to show image. If I'm not mistaken, even if the image is not showing in Autocads viewport, it should still print (it's seems to be some setting to save system resources in not having to reload images).
