Plotting a PICT / Image file

Hi

Can anyone shed light on the plotting of a pict file. They seem to print fine, but plotting leaves an empty space.
I am using the most up to date version of ArchiCAD on OS x Panther and do all my plotting through ArchiCAD. I have tried merging the file in various guises directly, and via Plotmaker, but the merge as drawing elements option simply gives me a blank square.
I seem to think it should be possible, but am up against that blank wall at present - can anyone knock a hole in it for me?

Thank you for your suggestion, but my plotter is configured fine. The driver is OK and everything else plots perfectly.

I'll give it a shot...(a bit of a long shot though).
I once had a problem where all my images came out black and white.
I found that in plotmaker, in the plot menu tabs/ plot setup, (at the top left of your screen) my plotter model wasn't specified properly, it was set to 1050 instead of 1050C.
Could also be your plotter driver.

Then I can only suggest changing the files format, import it into another program and save with a new extension. Maybe you've tried this already?
Good luck.

I just had this come up this week.

It seems that you can't plot pictures directly from ArchiCAD. If you import the ArchiCAD file into PlotMaker as a view you can plot the pictures.

Yes I have tried various different file formats, along with merges and copies, but to no avail.
Can anyone else help?

Hi Greg
Is that 'can't' definitive. I knew you can plot through Plotmaker, but I was hoping for some way to manipulate the image back to ArchiCAD in plotable form

It was in ArchiCAD 7.0:
" Read Me for Plotter Users.htm" wrote:
PlotMaker supports bitmap plotting on some plotter models that support the Hewlett Packard Raster Transfer Language (HP RTL). This feature is not yet implemented in ArchiCAD.
But this line isn't in the Read Me with 8.1.

Hey Towtrucker

What is the type of plotter/printer you are trying to get this image outputed on?

We also need you know your system config. You on a Mac or Windows?
