i have imported .dwg files into plotmaker. Everyhting fits on the layout but then prints off the screen when the plot at 100% box is checked. i have put shrink page to layout, and there is where I have the problem. I don't know what else to do. Here is a screen shot of the setup.

On one of our plotter I had a similar problem.
Initially I could only print an A1 sheet @ 100% if it rotated the sheet, leaving a big blank piece of wasted paper which I had to manually cut. We were also using normal non oversized rolls.

The solution I found was to set the paper to custom, use the sizes for an A1 sheet but swop them in the x & y values (i.e. X was 594 & y was 841). Margins were set as normal. I then set orientation to portrait.

The solution does not sound very elegant, but it worked on that particular plotter.

Haneef,
Thanks man! That worked great. I had to set the paper size to custom 24 X 36 inch, and set the master layout size to 22 X 34. When I had everything set to 24 X 36 it was always too big.

cheers

Like others have said this is a Master Layout issue.

In PlotMaker : Go to Master in Navigator. With Master Highlighted selected the Settings.... button at the bottom. (See Attachment in this post)

From Paper Size: Select, Import Settings from Plotter. (See Attachment in this post)

What ever is in the Blue Border will print/plot.

When Plotting in PM Plot options should be "Use Margins of Master Layout".
(See Attachment in next post)

Again only the "stuff" within the Blue Border will print. What ever is outside Border will not.
