I understand that the options in the Quick Options bar change depending on the view that is currently open. For some reason, the dimension preferences and Design options are not showing up when I'm in the floor plan view. What is more confusing, is these options ARE showing up in section views.
Does anyone know how to get these options to show up in the plan view?

This was my understanding as well.
It was strange because the options bar was working fine in other files I opened in archicad.
I did the old classic solution of closing archicad and restarting my computer. that seemed to fix it.
Appreciate your help Barry.

That is strange because in your image, there seems to be enough space.
I can see the design option icon but not the options.
The option bar will only show what can fit on the screen and other dialogues and palettes can affect that.
You could try turning some of those off, or undock the floor plan window and manually stretch the width to its maximum.
Also you don't say what version of Archicad it is, not even your operating system.
You should add this info to every post or add it into your signature (in your profile settings).
Make sure you have the latest update for what ever version you are using.

Not as far as I know.
The options bar shows what it can based on your screen width (or view window width).
If wide enough, it should try to show all icons and text descriptors.
As it gets narrower, it will show just icons, and narrower still it will start dropping off some icons.
