Renovation Filter Reset

I am still very frustrated that my "default" elements keeps on resetting in my renovation filter tool. I select "new status" for my default elements, and work for a while and notice it has reset itself to default all elements to the existing tool.

I brought this up a long time ago, and called Graphisoft North America Tech Support, and this still is not fixed. It wastes my time having to go back and change all the work I've done to the new status tool. Yes, it is relatively easy to do, but it takes time and should not be happening.

Steven:

What I have discovered is that whenever the Renovation Filter is changed to Existing or Demo (where the New status is hidden), the setting changes to Existing (since the New is hidden). You can try changing all your View settings so the Renovation Filter is set to New so this does not occur, or be aware that when you use a View with an Existing Filter, the Status will change.

Thanks David, I understand this, but I don't think this should be happening. The default should change depending on the setting of the view you are selecting. Example, if you click on a floor plan with the existing reno filter, it changes the default to existing. Then if you click on a plan with the new filter, it changes back to that. Right now it only seems to go one way.

Or maybe the default filter should not change at all, it should only change if you change it manually.

Graphisoft knows this should not happen (it changing without you changing it manually) but have yet to fix it.

The new hotfix came out today:

http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=45936&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight...

and I see the following fix in it:

168389 EDIT: Applying favorite in wall settings dialog no longer changes renovation status from "new" to "existing"

Could that solve this issue?

I don't think so Laszlo, it changes without me applying favorites. Maybe it will help in some cases.

The resetting comes from this; I'm in a proposed plan with the "new status" set as default. If I then click a plan that has a "to be demolished" or "existing" set in their reno filter options, it moves to either the demo or existing filter (because the "new status" is greyed out when you have either of those as a setting). Then when clicking back to the new status plans, it does not transfer back.

Interestingly, if I go from a new status to a demolition plan, it switches to the demolished default. But then upon switching to the new status plan, it switches the default to the "existing" setting, rather than back to the new.

I will bring this to the attention of the development team.
