Renovation Filter graphic override rules

HI, how do I assign certain elements so that they are unaffected by renovation status and associated graphic overrides rules?

In particular I don’t want grids or site mesh elements to look different between new and existing and demolition views, but I want all other elements to alter appearance as usual.

Unfortunately, there appears to be no option to use criteria in graphic override rules for renovation filters, and I can’t see a way to opt out of override via individual element properties either.


How do people handle this?

Just set up the Graphic Overrides so that your grids and site meshes display as you want. Then, you set your demolition filter for the other elements as you wish, and choose the graphic override to your new combination for the grids and site meshes. The GO and the Renovation Filter together should get you what you want. Save this View for the Demolition Plan, and this combo of GO and Reno filter should always be displayed together when you double click the View. Repeat for the Existing View. Hope that's clear.

Hi, a good suggestion, and this is a workaround I had played with but abandoned when I found that any override forces all parts of existing grid objects to the same pen colour in any proposed plan view.

I generally aim to differentiate pens of grid lines from grid head markers etc... I understand that GS have since taken this on board and added renovation filter exemptions to their 'to do list'
