Save to pdf gives me missing fonts in Illustrator?

Mats_Knutsson

If I print to pdf it's OK when I open the pdf in Adobe Illustrator but when I choose save to pdf I get en error message saying fonts are missing. Look at attached image. What's wrong?
Cheers,

I discovered the image text is in swedish...can't delete it. Basically it's saying
"The font arial is missing and will be replaced by a substitute..."
The font arial bold is missing and will be replaced by a substitute..."

Try checking the Multi-language support checkbox in the Amyuni PDF Driver settings.

Hi Lazlo,
It's when I "save to" pdf the font arial is missing when opening the pdf in Illistrator. It works in Photoshop...
Print to pdf works fine with both PS and Illustrator.

I'm on the Mac and not familiar with Amyuni, but this behavior might happen when the PDF converter is set to not embed common system fonts. Try resetting it to embed all fonts.

Hello Mats
I had same problem. I solve with this way:

You need for this one Acrobat Distiller.
First open pdf with Adobe Accrobat, and save it as eps.
Open eps with Acrobat Distiller.

And than open pdf-file with Illustrator.
Than the text is perfect.
