Schedule zones within zones

Hi,

I have been trying to schedule zones within zones without success - does anyone have an idea as to how this can be acheived?

I have a main area zone that covers the entire apartment, and then I have zones in each room. I want to acheive something like this:

Apartment 01

  01 Hallway

  02 Bathroom

  03 Bedroom

  04 Kitchen

  05 Living room

  .....

Apartment 02

  01 Hallway

  02 Bedroom

  03 Kitchen

  04 Bathroom

  ....

Many thanks!

The sum of room areas is not necessarily equal to the total area of an apartment. For example, in Finland, the area of non-bearing walls is not included in the room areas but is included in the total area of the apartment. One would also need to model the area of non-bearing building elements that are not included in the room areas, and that would be quite cumbersome. It is also common practice to label the areas of apartments on floor plans, and for this purpose, modeling zones that represent an individual apartment is useful.

@Mathias Jonathan & @Ricardo Lopez  - many thanks for your quick replies and good insight!

The only option I can think of is to model the rooms with the morph tool and the apartment with the zone tool.

Then you can schedule the morphs and get the related zone name and number.

Editing morphs is frustrating, but it can be a single plane if the volume is not important.
