Section Marker Renovation status

Why don't Section/Elevation/Detail markers have a renovation status available to them? A feature of the Renovation Palette is the elimination of the demo layers, but now i think i need to add them back.

How about creating a GOR to make them invisible (e.g., white line and fill) and include the GOR in your demo drawing layout view GOC/s? Would that work for you?
