License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sheet Number Reference with Autotext

In construction documents we often say, for example: "See Sheet A-601 for detail." Is it possible to use autotext to select the sheet number the detail is on or the detail itself so if the sheet sequence changes or the detail moves elsewhere, the autotext will keep up with it? Thank you.

Yes. Go to the layout with relevant detail placed on it and select the detail. Right click and select the Set as Autotext Reference option from the context menu. Go back to your notation and place the Autotext, under the Category drop-down select your reference, and you will then have various options to call up. In your case you'd use Layout ID for the A-601. If the layout order changes the text will update.

Stuart,

It worked. This is a very helpful tool that more users need to know about if they do not already.
