We are unable to save dwg from section/ elevation window. "Cannot write output file" is the error message.
Has anyone had this problem and how did you solve it?

As the first step, I would try to turn Line Weights to Hairline.
Now you have True Weight lines which make the DWG file become very large.
Let's see if this helps.

Sorry Laszlo this did not help. I still get the same error.

I've seen this error and usually can fix it by eliminating the fills. The easiest way to do this is to redefine your view with a new display option that has empty fills. I actually have a display option called DWG that is set to hairline and empty fills just to publish DWG files.

Where are you saving?

Are you allowed to write to the folder/disk/wherever you are trying to save?

Did you try using hairlines and no fills? Changing 25% fills -or, for that matter, any % fills - to solids with light tones?
