Update Layout To Frame

Hi fam.

'Update Layout To Frame' has quickly become the bane of the office since upgrading to version 24.
Can anyone shed light on how to go back to the good ol' days where the layout frame updated in real-time ?

If the layout doesn't update as it is adjusted, it can take multiple goes at re-sizing so as to capture all relevant information, or conversely, exclude specific information from the view.

Please advise.

Turn off the option to 'Crop Drawing to Frame' in the drawing settings.
But then it will be processing the data for the drawing outside of the frame even when you can't see it.
