I have been experiencing a persistent multi-view indexing bug in Archicad (occurring across versions 27 through 29, probably even before that..) for a long time and it catches me out every now and then.
When a Section or Elevation view (does not happen on plans) drawing is placed on a layout, the 2D elements will turn red if the source viewpoint tab is left open in the background, the 3d part of the elevation/section is still show accurately. As long as the tab of the source view is still actively open it will force all manual drafting, text, and dimension elements inside the viewport to instantly revert to a bright red colour.
There are no issues with pen settings, graphical overrides, renovation filter, or the like and happens between multiple users across all our projects. As soon as the tab for the source view closed, the placed view can be updated and the red disappears. This happens for both linked views from separate files as well as views placed from within the same source file / project. It not such of a big deal as long as the elevation / section is located in the same file, but for linked views from other source files it then requires you to open the file, ensure the tab is closed, save the file and then update the placed view. It can take some time if there are multiple large buildings spread out over several files.
Is anyone else encountering this background buffer conflict, and has Graphisoft acknowledged a formal hotfix or permanent solution for it?
