VIEWMAP SHEET SHIFTING?

SEE ATTACHED.
but basically here's what happens:
1. I create a viewmap
2. i try to drag into the sheet the viewmap i created.
3. it comes in but...the actual 'view' is not within the dotted frame.
4. then I have to do a 'fit to frame' to see the view i've created but...
5. then it physically shifts/moves location from where i placed it on the sheet.
6. then i have to drag it back to where i originally placed it on the sheet.
7. then i have to remove the 'fit to frame' and set it to 'manual'

how do I avoid having to do this?

When you saved the View to the View Map was Zooming (bottom row of Save View dialogue) set to Current Zoom?

..I'll have to check on that...."set to current zoom"?
yeah...I've noticed that when I do set it to current zoom....then the view that gets dragged into the sheet does come in 'with the viewmap properly showing'......

yes...that was it.
I have to set the "current zoom" in the 'settings' of the view.
that'll lock the view so it doesn't fly out to the twilight zone.
