Views placed on Layout keeps updating

hey all

i have a problem with most views placed on layout and its constant updating.

when i open a layout it start updating all views and this happen twice before i can use the file.

this is happening to certain files so im assuming it has to do with work environment.

on some sheets i have like 15-18 views and this is starting to take some time since it gets updated twice in a row.

So I realized there is another kind of strange bahaviour related to drawing updates that has to do with zones.

I spent two days trying to figure out why 20 drawings on my layout are constantly updating JUST ONLY BY "MINIMIZING" THE ARCHICAD WINDOW.

NO CHANGE AT THE MODEL NOTHING.......... EVEN MAXIMIZING CHROME AND THEN GOING TO ARCHICAD ALL THE DRAWINGS WERE AT CHECKING STATUS AND THEN UPDATING....ALL .......!!!

There was no custom settings or anything. All the views had saved-predefined settings.

After several tests I realized that i had to UPDATE THE ZONES IN MY MODEL................................

ZONES THAT WERE IN MANUAL MODE HAD TO BE UPDATED (without changing their geometry...)  IN EACH FLOOR PLAN FOR THE CHECKING AND UPDATE TO STOP.........

My layout had several zone schedules and zone diagramms. The zones were there............why do I need to update them??????????????

I am not sure what exactly triggered this but the good thing is that it is not happening since i update the zones. I even closed and opened Archicad and it seems that somewhere the zone status is there. I don't know though.... when this will start again.

I feel your pain. I have som projects behaving exactly like that. Will try updating the zones.

@Mats Knutsson , please check if this is also this case and share the results.

This internal update algorithm has to be fixed somehow.

I still wonder why it is more important to discuss about "line ends" 

and forget about core functions that are translated to serious loss of time......aand money.

What was the resolution for you on this?  I've been noticing the same issues for the last couple of months, but couldn't say when it started.  Particularly, if I click out of my Archicad window to this browser window, and then back to Archicad, my layout views update without any other interaction with the drawing file!  Your lack of comments beyond this point gives me hope that you figured it out?  Thanks in advance!
