Hi everyone,
I tried finding an answer on here but I wasn't able to.
I've got a project for which I have to use the company branding to create a tittle block.
When I export PDFs the font changes to Arial.
- What am I missing?
- Is there a way for me to actually design something or will the font always revert and only be displayed as Arial?
- Is there a way to check what fonts work and which do not?
Operating system used: Windows

Update:
- When I ( CTRL + P ) print to pdf it shows it as I want it.
- Whereas when I save as a layout it does different things for different font - never shows as displayed.

I'm having absolutely the same issue right now. I tried to check if the font can be converted to PDF and did different things, but nothing helped. Might be the archicad bag or something(

Out of interest, what is the font?
I’ve experienced issues with helvetica converting to gibberish when publishing pdfs.
Sometimes applying bold or italic to certain fonts can cause issues too, as the way Archicad applies bold and italic is not utilising the specific bold or italic variant of the font family, but manipulating the individual glyphs.
Its also possible the font file is not installed correctly or is partially malformed so the pdf generator is unable to utilise it properly even though it is displaying correctly. (Publish uses a different pdf generator than print to pdf)
Some options to try:
- try reinstalling the font
- try obtaining a different format of the font in otf or ttf and installing that.
If it is part of a logo I would suggest not relying on a textbox, but instead either using a high res image of the logo, or converting it all to fills (this could be converted in illustrator). This way you’ll know the logo is always visually accurate regardless of whether you have the font or not.
