X-reffed dimensions don't disappear when x-ref is unloaded?

I can't get rid of some of the dimensions from an x-reffed dwg-file... I x-ref the file in ordinary style and when I'm tired of it, I unload the file. BUT...some dimensions remain (see attachment)...I have to delete them...why this?

(Feels like I'll never reach the level when I can contribute to this forum...now I only use it...)

I have noticed some quirks with undeletable dimensions (or parts thereof) with native ArchiCAD elements. Perhaps this is another manifestation of this. You might get rid of them by deleting the layyer they are on. Do they survive from one session to the next?

are you teamworking at the same time? we have had various issues whereby a teammate cannot update/detach/unload x-refs if he or she is not completely signed into them.

because archiCAD's x-ref management merges the DWG into the project file rather than truly references it, these entities have to be treated as archiCAD elements - and if you're not signed into them you can't do anything with them!

the quirk with this is that if you are signed into part of an x-reffed drawing (by marquee for example) and then try update it, archiCAD will update all of the elements from that DWG that you have access to (i.e. within your marquee), and merge in new entities from the area that you don't!

you will then see that you have 2 instances of that x-ref if you look in the x-ref management dialogue. reloading again results in 4 instances, etc. . . the workaround is to have somebody signed in permanently to the entire plan with access only to the x-ref layers. the draft is saved so that all team mates have access to it and it is used for loading, unloading, detaching and updating x-refs. we double this up as a 'file management' draft with the team leader signed in for layer combination editing, etc, as well.

there was some discussion a while back, along with a wish. links are here:

OK!
Thanks! I'm not teamworking right now but I will try that shortly. I don't really like the way the x-refs are handles but it will do for now.
