back reference details to drawing not working

I have drawn a detail marker (a sourced marker) and when i have placed that on the drawing - i am not able to back reference the drawing to the section the detail marker appears on - the back reference setting doesn't come up with any pages to back reference, and the back reference just shows the #layID

when i have created the detail marker there are a few setting which I'm not sure which one to choose

"with marker reference to:
-the viewpoint
-the selected drawing
-the first placed drawing on the viewpoint
-the first placed drawing of the selected view"

I have chosen the last option - but this may be wrong?

Make sure you update the Section view on the Section layout, and then when you go to the detail layout you should have the back reference option in title settings of the detail.
