black and white elevations

Is anyone able to explain if it is possible to change the hatch colour of an object (in this case it is a shed in the back corner of the site) in an elevation. I would like to change the shed to be a light grey because it is behind the house and not relevant. I can change the outline but not the hatch.

Graphic Overrides is not working there?
You can change colours by having different pen set. This method is very old and very robust. Even AutoCAD is using it.
Let say pen set 'black', 'grey', 'monochrome'
