select the specific walls before entering the Calculation's menu and then select one of the pre-set lists of your choice (both "Default" and "Basic" gives you surfaces and volumes).
These can then be saved as text for future usage
...or use "Window/Floating Palettes/Element information" palette to get your volumes extracted from the selected elements (can also be saved as text).This feature is not present in 7.0. Among the reasons to upgrade to 9.0 (or to have upgraded before to 8.1) is this feature and the Interactive Scheduler, which can also provide you with wall volumes in a friendlier interface.

It was so weird opening 7.0 to look at this... feels like so long ago...

Isn't there some kind of default pre-set list in the US version? A list that just gives the user basic info?
