more dimension woes

It appears that although I can manually reposition the dimension reading within a placed dimesnion line, but the lines around it don't heal up? Is this true, or, once again, What Am I Missing? Many thanks--

This does look like a bug. I had never used the centered dimension text, but the gap should move with the text.

Is there an option for NOT using the centered dimension text?

Check in the dimension settings next to the text settings. You can have the dimensions above, centered or below the dimension line.

Ok but this is not a solution
They have to fix this bug.
