object labels - automatic placement default settings

Anonymous

is anyone aware of a way to set default settings for the automatic labelling function that controls the distance and orientation of the label from the object being labelled.

i'm trying the available labels (both the standard archicad ones and some cadimage 3rd party ones) and each seems to have different results as to where the labels are located in relation to the object.

what i want to achieve is for the object ID label to occur relatively close to the object (i.e. adjust length of label pointer and setout from the object centre node (the default seems to be from the upper RHS node where, if there are objects arranged in sequence, it may be unclear which object each label is referring to.

after setting the label as you want, save it as a favorite.

hi erika; thanks for the reply.
i thought about that, however there isn't [that i can find] settings in the label dialog box for the length of the pointer line or relationship of pointer end to object, so saving a favourite seems to save the default value for these.

i've attached an image of what i'm trying to achieve. on the left is the label that's been manually moved and adjusted closer to the mid-point of the object; this label was then saved as a favourite, selected and then the object copy on the right labelled. the label reverted to default location. also tried alt. clicking (eyedropper tool) and alt.cntl. clicking (syringe tool) from the left label to the right one without change.
