i been having as problem for a while and it seems to be getting worse lately. When importing drawings from Archicad 8 into plotmaker, each time it finishes the import an error window crops up, but the drawings seem to come across fine. Its when i try to move the drawings around on the page, it seems to be ok and then you adjust it say a final time after 5 or six move arounds and the whole computer crashes, not hangs, i mean black screen.
i have tried starting from scratch each time and creating a new plotmaker drawing but it does it again and again.
I am running a 2.8 Mhz hperthreaded P4, 1 gig ram and lots of hardisk space but cannot understand why it crashes the whole machine.
Any ideas?

This does sound like a memory handling and/or video card problem. Did you do the video card test available here:
http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/compatibility.php?
? Updating the drivers might help.
Also, NOT running anything else (messengers, multimedia, Outlook etc) at the same time might be helpful. Saving often, too.
HTH,

Have you got any OLE links on the layout book?. I have had trouble with these.
