Cut fill orientation in curtainwall custom panel

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello there

Creating a custom panel using slab(seen from front offcours). Giving it insulation material. Saving as curtainwall panel. As plan shows the orientation of the cutfill always follows x y axis, If i rotate the cw the fill doesnt move. Any ideas?

There you go.
Thanks! I checked it, and for some reason it's not responsive to thickness changes.

Is there some other setting I should be aware of?
The offset parameter works - thanks, that's a nice addition too - it's not included in the INT panel.
has to be fixed by GS
I agree. I'm not sure how to submit a wish to GS or create a poll, though...

Sorry for the inconvenience, furtonb!
I've made a mistake and corrected it in my post (reuploaded the gsm).

Or rather I fell for a weird/bad UI. And you did too, because this parameter actually doesn't set the thickness of the panel, but the thickness of the clamp area!
For the simple panel however those two values are the same. Again: I've corrected the issue and everything should work fine now! (:

Happy building!

Dear All,

Thank you very much for bringing it to our attention, and I am truly sorry for the experience!

This issue has been registered in our database, unfortunately, due to the complexity of the issue and the low number of reports, it was not implemented. I give it a push again, hopefully, we will be able to implement it in the near future.

Thank you very much for your understanding!
Best regards,
Minh

Thanks for the bump, Minh!

Do you know by any chance where to look in the meantime to implement the "fit to skin" behaviour in GDL in 3D/sections?

runxel's solution works in 2D for now, but sections are still ugly and I need to change the fill pattern from the conventional one. seems like a cosmetic issue, but in my country everyone is using this type, so it hinders understanding and cohesion - if I only change the CW settings, then why are the walls using a different fill - you get the idea.

Hello,

Unfortunately, I'm not an expert in GDL I suggest sharing your question to the GDL Forum: https://gdl.graphisoft.com/forums
The GDL gurus there will be able to answer whether it is possible or not.

Thank you for your understanding!

Best regards,
Minh

OK, I will try there.

I've never understood why there is a separate forum for GDL - this one has GDL related topics too.

Right, I missed the thread about it:
http://gdl.graphisoft.com/forums/topic/gdl-center-forum-moves-to-archicad-talk

Is it normal that the forum over there looks like this?

Some of those may well be new post since you last logged in.
Others will be spam posts that have been deleted but still register as new posts - even though they no longer exist.
That is why we now have the GDL part of the forum here.

The GDLCentre forum is not supposed to be used any more.
It hasn't been shut down as it is still a good knowledge resource.
