Ideas on how to display a data table in a dialog

I'm writing an Addon in which I need to display a modal dialog that contains a data table. There will be about 5 columns and a variable number of rows. Most of the columns will contain text but one column needs to have a checkbox (or alternatively a button) in it.

I've looked through the GDL definitions for dialog items and there is no datagridview available. The ListView and ListBox only seem to dispaly single columns. It would be easy to do this using native methods but then it's not platform independent.

Any suggestions on how to best achieve what I need?

A list box can have multiple rows and columns.
