Closing old Archicad Talk accounts

Dear Community members,

Tomorrow, on December 01, you will notice a drop in the overall number of community members, and some user profiles will appear with "Anonymous" username.

That is because, from 12:00 CET, we will start the process of closing all user accounts that haven't migrated from Archicad Talk to the new Graphisoft Community. This action is necessary due to GDPR rules. We have already informed all members via email about the steps they should take to keep their accounts.

All the content will remain on the platform, and all the earlier forum conversations will be complete. The only difference is that usernames of closed accounts will be displayed as anonymous.

No work will be hindered during the execution of this task.

GDPR, General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy in the European Union and the European Economic Area. It also addresses the transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas.
It's about your personal data being protected, it is covered in the Community terms of use.

Does it let you change your user name there?

nah. I can only change email & Personal Info. not the actual "username" that appears in here.

I looks like I might be able to but I am not 100% confident.

You log in here with your Graphisoft ID which uses your e-mail address.

So I think I can change you user name without affecting anything.

But just to be sure I'll get in touch with admin.

@Gerry Leonor and @Barry Kelly : changing usernames is at the moment tied to admin and moderator accounts, but yes, we can try to rename your profile, if no one else was faster than you grabbing the new name. 🙂

Everyone is going to see your user name so you could just reply here if you want and then I will take care of it.

Hi, just read this article about the old Archicad talk accounts that is for migration i missed my chance and am not sure if there is a way to migrate the old account... just wanted to know if is there a way to remove this account (like deleting this account) reason is i want to use the email address am using in Archicad talk before.
