I'm new to ArchiCAD and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good tutorials, other than the one supplied by Graphisoft??
Any info. would be greatly appreciated.

There are over 8 hours of video tutorials on it covering everything you would need to know to give you a good foundation in AC. (hee-hee, get it... good foundation...

It's created by Laszo Nagy who posts here often.
More info on their website here.
Good luck!!

Oh, BTW you can also pick them up from your local AC resellers - Bite or Applecore Designs in the UK.

I'd recommend the very comprehensive 'Virtual Tutor 10' DVD.

Laura wrote:Sounds interesting. Is it still up to date enough for AC10/11? I think I may need something like that for the boss to work through. I have to admit you need to be fairly focused to get the best out of VT and I don't think he has the time or enthusiasm. I wouldn't mind having a play with it myself if its fairly cheap!

(sorry for butting in Dooch!)

I think it would be a lot better if it came with a handbook.
I also think it would be better if it were done at something resembling a normal resolution, instead of 800x600.
I'm a Step by Step fan myself.

what would you consider the average minumum screen resolution for ArchiCAD users? IME it is probably 1280x1024, but I wonder if other ArchiCAD users operate with a screen resolution lower than that?
It's something that's always interested me - I may even post a poll. Probably my first poll!
Cheers,

You COULD work on smaller than that, but I would recommend it only for minor changes or GDL coding. I cannot imagine anyone with a screen smaller than that reachinig optimum productivity.
Given a choice, I'd prefer 1920 x 1200 (23" wide!)

No it is notI always just assumed it was!

Two people with the same name associated with ArchiCAD - I wonder how often the other gets moaned at and asked for technical support for VT.
