Or maybe is it undergoing an update. Error pages and missing chapters.

Just use the PDF for now, it is basically the same thing. It is the document you get directed to from inside AC, and is the one included in the installation documentation in older versions.

I know about the PDFs, but I would argue they're not as accessible as the online version. For one, having it paginated makes it easier to see all the info on a topic at a glance, rather than having to scroll continuously. Plus, the hyperlinks in the PDFs aren’t as visible as they are in the online version. And having it indexed by Google means it can show up in searches alongside forum results on the same topic.
But more importantly, GDL materials are already pretty sparse—removing one source isn’t the way to move forward.
I just haven’t seen anything about them updating or removing the online version.

I did say "for now".
I am just used to being able to Ctrl + F and search for the relevant command. I always found the seperate pages of the online version really annoying to navigate, and search engine scrapes rarely turned up more than what I could have found myself without all of the excess... Not even including the fact that there was a version for every version of AC that would turn up...
@Gordana Radonic , any idea what has happened to the page?
Ling.

I have asked community admin if there is anyone that can help, and if not can they forward onto someone that can.
Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
Barry.

ehe, of course we can have different experiences depending on what tasks one works on or how frequently. I have long stretches where I work superficially with GDL or don’t work at all with UI script, for example, and my brain straight-up refuses to learn the syntax. Then, 1–2–6 months later, I wouldn’t even know what to search for specifically—I need to see all the possible global libparts or all the UI script commands. You understand.
My gripe was just that I was unaware of whatever maintenance or work is being done, and my first reaction is, unfortunately, “They’re dropping it!”

Hey everyone, thanks for reporting this. We also realized there are problems on the GDL site.
We are planning to resolve the issue by consolidating the content in one place, so it’s easier to access the knowledge base and support. There are some technical problems with the current site that make it difficult to update, so I’d like to ask for your patience while we work on a solution. In the meantime, please use the available PDF documents. Thanks @Lingwisyer for providing the link right away!
Most likely, we will merge the help content under the Developer Hub and create a GDL knowledge base category for it. If you have other suggestions for where this content should be placed in the Developer Hub, let me know in the replies.
Hope this helps!

There's also some content on the WayBack Machine. It's a bit slow, and any new content would be missing as it hasn't been saved that much, but I prefer it over the PDF.
