What happened to Graphisoft Learn?

Wasn't there courses on the Learn portal on indivisual tools some time ago? I mean tools like Curtain Wall, Stair Tool... Are they gone for good now or just packaged under the "Bundles"?

Also, why can't I see any "international" courses when I log in with my Graphisoft ID? What's the point of not giving me the access to them directly? Especially when our local distributor has decided to create their own courses outside of the Learn portal and my course catalogue is basically empty when I log in with my GS ID.

Hi Martin,

You are correct that all individual tool courses and a lot more are now part of the BIM Author Program. This provides the users with the opportunity to have more content available (more than 50 hours of self-paced content in English) for less. The BIM Author Program is offered as a monthly or annual subscription and there is no limit to the amount of content one can consume during their active subscription period.

Regarding your second question, the Learn Program offering differs by country. When you log in with your Graphisoft ID, you are directed to your own country's Learn Portal. It is true that our offering in Germany is very limited for now, but we have plans to expand this in the near future.

Where is the BIM Author Program.  I tried the Menu on the site and don't see it.

I log into my portal and do not see a LEARN SITE.  Where do I find this?

Our Graphisoft Learn Program is available at https://learn.graphisoft.com/

It doesn't make sense to include the modeling sections from Archicad in a BIM author/coordinator/manager program.
It's okay to charge for a BIM author/coordinator/manager program, but in that case, I would expect content beyond modeling tips, to be honest.
There is more important BIM content for these roles to learn.
This feels like just another way of squeezing more money out of Archicad users, especially since GS removed the ArchiCard content and is now adding fees to things that were previously free.

Another example are the "new" features like the BIMmTool for properly using point clouds in Archicad. Only by another expensive Subscription!

If modeling tools like stairs, railings, facades or the point cloud worked properly and were user-friendly, it would be acceptable to move them out of the portal.
But as it stands, it’s just a struggle for every user to work with them, with many bugs. Moving them from the free learning section only leaves users alone with tools that are not user-friendly and often quite clumsy. The parameters they offer in the lists are also not practical.

Thanks for the feedback. The BIM Author Program which is the most relevant to those tools you are describing, does go way beyond modelling tips. The BIM Coordinator/Manager Programs, go beyond tools (even Archicad itself), as they are based on ISO 19650.

Regarding pricing, the BIM Author Program subscription is less expensive than the individual courses you are referring to. Give it a go!

I would appreciate it if you wouldn't use this post as an advertisement for the BIM Coordinator/Manager programs and reshape it in a way that is more suitable for PR. A Forum is not the right place for this.

Let's please focus on the part where the content was moved into a paid program.

It's great that the BIM Coordinator/Manager programs go beyond the modeling tools, but this post is not about them. It's about the videos that have disappeared and been moved into a paid subscription program. Those videos, which were previously available for free, mainly focused on modeling. And the ones from the ArchiCARD section aswell.

Many Archicad users are currently using the software only for 3D designs and documentation, so it's not a great move to cut them off from the knowledge of modeling tools.

So, are you saying that to learn to model in Archicad, all users need to follow the path to become a certified BIM Author/Coordinator/Manager and enroll in your subscription program?
Not every Archicad user needs a BIM Author/Coordinator/Manager certificate. Every Archicad User need knowledge about the modelling tools.

Apologies my reply was seen as a sales pitch; I was trying to explain that our paid programs go beyond simple tool usage. Regarding free training, our international portal has approx. 15 hours of training which is completely free or inclusive of Forward/SSA contracts and Archicad subscriptions. Hope this helps.

Does everyone have access to the international portal? I can only see the localized version when I log in with my graphisoft ID. And in my localized version, there is only one "course", which is in fact only a link to our local distrubutor's own course portal. With only paid courses of course.

That was actually also one of my original questions, why can't everyone see the international courses?

The offering that each user sees on the portal is dependent on location, as the Learn Program differs by country. When you log in with your Graphisoft ID, you are directed to your own country's Learn Portal. In many cases, you will see the offering by Graphisoft, in other cases (like the one you are describing) you will see our partners' offering.

Those 3 are free and accessible with the Forward/SSA. Even if i put the filters on all languages thats all.

Those are the BIM ones. Paid.

Where did the ones like stairs and railings in Archicad go?

Are they still on the international one? If so... Why would GS cut the users off that source?
