clear color swaths?

there has to be a way to clear the colors stored in pen and surface selections... anyone know of a way to purge these? It's not project specific. Since I manage about 6 templates, I stacked up quite the pile of colors, and cont have any clue which ones I even use for what any more. 

some may have been for pen sets, some for surface colors, some for one of any number of projects and templates... I just want to scrap them all.

ok, I feel stupid; answered my own question; just select the color and hit delete
