We’re excited to let you know that with the Archicad 29.2.0 update, we’re introducing a new way to connect your Archicad projects to Autodesk Forma: the Autodesk Forma Connection.
This new built‑in palette focuses on two key workflows:
- Uploading an Archicad 3D view/model as a Forma Data Exchange
- Uploading documents via a selected Publisher Set (for example DWG, IFC, PDF, RVT files and more)
With these workflows, you can send models and documents directly from Archicad to Autodesk Forma Data Management, without needing clumsy export-import workarounds or extra tools in between. This helps you join Forma-mandated projects more easily, keep project data aligned, and still stay in the Archicad environment and workflows you're comfortable with.
Forma Connection will be available on Windows (due to Autodesk SDK limitations) and will be included in the Archicad 29.2.0 update, and later in Archicad 30 as well. It is supported with Archicad Collaborate Plan (and EDU, NFR, and Trial Collaborate) licenses, as it is designed specifically to support connected, collaborative project workflows. An active Autodesk Forma account is required to sign in and use the connection.
