The real issue is that Graphisoft is not in the position – for whatever reason – to implement a proper palette for this.
Archicad should have had a palette from the start since properties were introduced. It is beyond me, why they still did not do this.
And it's not the case they "do not have the resources". If somebody is able to program that thing in a day or two it's clearly not a lack of manpower but of will.
Graphisoft needs to go back and concentrate on what we users really need.
