I just found out this OLED keyboard

It might be alittle bit pricy, but imagine of the possibilities.

Load an archicad configuration (perhaps make 2 for different cases) and then no more shortcuts to remember , everything at your fingers.

I don't think they are programmable as the oled one is, but what is stopping them?

I have heard they dont work under all light conditions.

The OLED is very nice looking by the way.

I imagine using one loaded with shortcuts i usually use.
Great boost in productivity.

I have seen posts talking about mouses with 5-6 button... programmable.
Here we can have all buttons programmable AND with a visual icon in case we forget smthg!!

This is the keyboard I have dreamt of for years. I started typing on a Dvorak layout (sooo much faster) and have been frustrated that it's so hard to do with a computer (there are no command and option modifiers on an Olivetti).

Finally someone is doing it.

I'm going to get one!!! (When - and if - they start shipping.)

The problem is that I have become so accustomed to the QWERTY command keys. I need key caps with two letters on them or ones that change when I press the modifier. (I never did learn to touch type - I still look at the keys occasionally).

My original Dvorak keyboard was an Olivetti portable which I converted. Moving the key caps around was simple. Removing and resoldering all the typeheads was more than a bit tricky. But it didn't have any command, option/alt, or ctrl keys to worry about.

I understand that you can print the layout......

The article says it only takes a month to switch over, but that really good QWERTY typists (over 60wpm and 400 hp) find it the most difficult. Sort of like leaving AutoCAD.....

What is wpm in metric?
