Our typical workflow of saving off PDF files from Layouts involves selecting the layout (or multiple layouts) from the navigator, hitting CMD+P or File->Print, and then using the 'PDF' button at the bottom left of the window. In the next step, we typically create a new folder with today's date and provide a file name for the said PDF. However, we cannot use the keyboard shortcuts CMD+C or CMD+V to copy and paste the text. Instead, we have to right-click the text and select Copy/Paste. Is there a reason that keyboard shortcuts are disabled when saving files?
We would love the ability to keep using keyboard shortcuts on the save file window. Thank You.

Hi,
The real question his why you don't use publication and revision manager to create PDF as you can mostly automate the process.
(in addition publication allow you to create multi pages PDF files (one layout per page)

Hi @BrunoH - Here's why we avoid publisher sets:
1. Publisher sets require you to reserve them in order to change the save directory, which creates a problem when multiple people are working on the same project and trying to save off pdf files at once. It also creates one additional step of creating a folder with today's date, then specifying that folder in publisher location, and then finally hitting publish. We find it faster to do it using CMD+P window.
2. Publisher sets don't give us scaling ability - For instance, sometimes we're working on 24x36 layouts, but want to save off a PDF at 50% scale.
3. We find it faster to just hold CMD and then select the layouts we want to include in our PDF, than having to reorganizing them under Publishing Sets.
Do all of these make sense? Is there a better workflow recommendation we should be looking at?

Hi,
I assume your Layouts are organized in folders, so you have to reserve it to work on those layouts.
Name the folder with the date, you will modify it each time you publish.
In the publisher set add the folder with the "add shortcut" button, the publisher folder will automatically take the same name and be populate with the layouts.
The publisher set save directory has to be set once to the root directory where you want the PDF Folders to be saved. No need to change this after.
When publishing, if the date stamp folder of the publisher set doesn't exist it should be automatically created, if it already exist it will be populate with the pdf files of the selected layouts as you can publish all the set or just selected elements in it. That means each time you change the date in the layout folder name, the publisher set folder name will change and a new folder be created on the first publication.
Now for the scaled PDF, duplicate this publisher set, change the publishing to printing and choose to print in a PDF file on MacOs, or choose a PDF printer on windows, you can then set page size and scale. Don't forget to direct that printing work in an other folder. All that settings are stored with the project file.
If you have some you often use like 50%, 200% create a publisher set for each.

However, copy paste should work, it's an Archicad limitation as it works fine with other application.
