AC13 Loaded Successfully NOT...

I went through the process of downloading the upgrade version of AC13 from my current AC12. 13 is not recognizing my hardware protection key which it was suppose to do during the download.

I can still open my AC12 files but get the attached message trying to launch AC13. Please advise.

Please read this: archicadwiki.com/ProtectionKey
Especially under the section 'WibuKey compatibility'

I have one site, one computer with one WibuKey in that one computer. I purchased a full commercial ArchiCAD 12 site on December 30, 2008. I also have a three year subscription of ArchiPLUS.

I'm obviously doing something wrong or there is problem with the download of AC13 or the WibuKey. I can still launch AC12 but get the error code shown above when trying to launch AC13. I've restarted the computer numerous times with and without the key. NO Change in the error message.

The directions for downloading AC 13 seem fairly easy to understand.

Please help and/or advise. I want to use AC13 to communicate, share and/or teamwork on projects with others.

Sounds like you still need to upgrade your AC12 WIBU key to AC13.

David,

How do I upgrade my WibuKey from AC12 to AC13? The download process asked me which type of key I had so that it could upgrade my WibuKey.

After choosing the type of dongle.
Not exactly a trust building screen.

Well, yeah, but lots of well known companies forget to renew their certificates. Just click the link for more info and it will confirm that the certificate belongs to Graphisoft and is legitimate, just expired. Of course they should fix it...

Ha, ha. Right after logging off, I got an expired certificate from Microsoft (attached). As you see, it is not just Graphisoft...

Funny coincidence for sure.
But yeh, I knew that.
Just saying not a confidence builder when we are so dependent on our keys to to function flawlessly especially under contract deadlines, which like most of us, I am still under right now.
One out the door, one more to go next week.
I'm not techno savvy enough to know if it's a scam site or what, when I get stuff like that and find it best to hold off til my IT son or someone verifies.
Slows me down, that's all.
