My apologies up front if this is in the wrong forum. I just updated to AC27 US version. I installed the new software then I installed the "Goodies" and finally installed the 2172 Hot fix. No problem launching AC but while designing AC will suddenly close completely. When that happens a "Bug Report" window opens stating that it is gathering the necessary information for the report. It takes approx. 5 minutes to do that at which point another window opens waiting for a connection to my printer. Why I don't know as I would expect that the report would be sent over the internet, no need for paper. One time I managed to close the printer window but that resulted in the bug reporter to gather the info again but didn't send anything. The first time it happened I just brushed it off and relaunched AC but the same scenario has occurred 10+ times making it next to impossible to use AC. It should be noted that this issue occurs randomly regardless of what I am doing. Don't know if it matters, the building I am working on was created using AC26. Another thought, does AC27 need to run on Win 11? I ask because another CAD program I need to update requires Win 11 and while it will run on Win 10 current version it stumbles every now and then. I have an option for Win 11 but it won't run with my processor and a new system just isn't in the cards today. Has anyone else had this problem?
All replies appreciated, thanks and regards
Operating system used: Windows pro 22H2

What a mess, eh? Never heard of any of those symptoms, but it sure sounds like the installation wasn't done correctly... as there is no version 2172, hotfix or otherwise. The (buggy) release download of 27 is build 3001. You should make sure that the Goodies that you installed were the US version, just to be sure.
There are no hotfixes for 27. The most recent 'release' update version for Windows is 4060 (Jan 16, 2024)... but I would install the Preview Update 5001 (Feb 7, 2024) as more crash/bug things are fixed in it.
As you know, the product should never need to or ask to print anything. Hopefully there was an installation corruption (antivirus/etc maybe? - or incorrect download)... and uninstalling and reinstalling will fix things.
And, yes, Win 10 is supported:

The first bug crash shouldn't happen, and you should send it off, take note of the number, and follow up with your local support.
But it sounds like a second bug crash (printer connection) is happening before you can send the first one off.
The printer problem seems to be an issue, but I thought it only affected Windows 11 machines.
That is if it is the same one as this ...
This bug also needs to be reported to your local support.
Karl has mentioned to make sure you have the latest update installed.
Update for version 27.2 (which is preview build 5003) is available.
Sounds like you may have it - just got the numbers mixed up a bit?

Hello Karl:
Just so you understand, the download link for AC27 I was given allowed me to download build 3001 and the hot fix was to bring AC27 to build 4060 which is what is shown in the "about" window. Maybe my issue is the fact that I first installed 3001 and updated it to 4060 and not installing build 4060 from the start. As for the goodies I do have the US version. I guess I shall have to uninstall AC27 and goodies and find the latest build on Graphisoft's website.
Thanks for the help

You can not install the latest version of Archicad from scratch.
You must install 3001 and then install the latest update.
You do not need to install all updates - just the latest one.
You do not need to un-install Archicad - you just keep updating it when the updates are available.
The latest is a preview of 5003.
As it is a 'Preview' update, you will not see it with 'check for updates' unless you have that option turned on in your Work Environment.
But you can get it from the Graphisoft website (link is above).
Barry.
