Hello,
I have a software key with a perpetual license for Archicad 26. However, I'm not able to disconnect the license from one device and connect in another. I have three PCs, in the same network, and I can't figure out how to open Archicad in one PC, after shutting down the others PCs.
I don't want to use the three at the same time, I just want to be able to move the license from one PC to another.
How do I do that? Web License Manager and disconnecting the IPs seems not to work.

Hi!
Did you try in Archicad itself to go to the menu "Help -> Upload Software Key"?
Also you can use the "Graphisoft License Manager" (Program version, not the web license manager) to upload the key.
Best regards,
Bernd

"Upload Software Key" is greyed out here. Also, GS License Manager Tool says "Connection to the server could not be estabilished".

Can you log into GraphisoftID in a browser?
after shutting down
"Upload Software Key" is greyed out here.
You need to upload the key before shutting down.

Yes, GraphisoftID is logged in both in the browser and in the Archicad. "Upload Software Key" is greyed out before shutting down.

Hi,
With a software key, you must deactivate the license on the first PC before you can activate it on another.
Turning off the PC does not deactivate the license assigned to it.

I have to go to graphisoftid.graphisoft.com to upload my key any time I switch computers for archicad or a bimcloud manager. It's annoying that this can't do it automatically; it's also a litle cryptic on where to release your license:
under your graphisoftID log-in, go to cloud licenses > select your Archicad license type > click the drop down > assignee, click the ellipses (...) > Details > Release from devise:
1)
2)
3)

Hello, Yves, thank you for your answer.
But how do I deactivate the license? I've tried some ways, and none seem to work.

You'll need to use the License Manager Tool, which should be installed on your PC. If I'm not mistaken...

Cloud licenses are different to software licenses.
With software licenses, I believe you must release the license in the Archicad Help menu before you leave Archicad or do it through the License Manager Tool on the machine that currently has the license.
It can't be done from any other machine.
Cloud licenses can be released as you describe from any machine, so long as you log into the Graphisoft ID website.
Also if you set your cloud license as a 'floating' license, it should release automatically about 30 minutes after you close Archicad that is using it.
With a 'named' license. you have to go through the release process if you change machines.
