I don't believe you will be able to use the pdf function as the amyuni conversion software is not compatible with vista at all in Version 10. You can print to pdf via the print function if you have acrobat pro. Cute pdf is a free verion to print to pdf.
As far as the mouse...
depends on the mouse, driver, etc...
I used v10 a bit in vista but found a few things unusable. 11 works great for me though on Vista 64.
