Please let me know which ones are the best application for the money.

Thank you

P.S. All comments are welcome.

The Cigraph suite has proven to be the most usable. Deside what you need - IMHO ArchiForma, ArchiStairs (still free AFAIK) and ArchiTerra are a must.
An excellent freeform modeling AddOn is GDL Toolbox, that has its own Web site.
There are more specialized AddOns and/or libraries; browse the Graphisoft Web site, too.
Thanks Djordje for the advice, I got ArchiStair and it is greater with every new stair and page of documentation, my ArchiTerra is on its way. Any other ones in your trick bag would be cheers.
Thanks,
Joseph

I have ArchiTerra for one year now, and I find it the best cost/benefit software ever. It is easy, intuitive, and..full of bugs
Joking, it has a couple of them you learn to avoid...
It has many shortcomings (like complex roads), but it is superior in handling 3d databases, and doping some quick modeling.
This image is part of a planning project, and the model was build in about a day (I was very green at the time, now I would do it in half the time.
All the terrain and walls was done automatically, and the houses where implemented manually, but with correct height.
And, like AC itself, it is fun to use

Thank for your kind words...

You already helped us in the past (providing us with your very good examples) could you be so kind to share with me these bugs you found?
We are working on ArchiTerra 3.0 (that it's just another software) but, as usual, we would like to fix also the previous versions in order to continue in providing the users with good maintenance release.

Another help I'd like to ask you is a whishes lists: what ArchiTerra should do and actually it doesn't or (not less important) what we should change (I mean in the current procedures) in order to improve it.

Could you be so kind to privately send me these info?
And, of course, are you interested in the ArchiTerra 3.0 beta testing?

BTW, in order to avoid the usual troubles I get anytime I write here something about what we are actually devoloping (some web sites work in a "paparazzi" style!) let me say ArchiTerra 3.0 is just a work in progress: no forecast can be done on its release date...

I like paparazzi web sites

Just for the record to state some wishes
1. The whole terrain should be an object that contains the data and could change.
For example we insert points give heights. It would be nice if selecting the terrain i could get a list of the points like an excel list and have as columns x,y z coords that i could edit , add delete and press an apply button to change the terrain.
2. When we have a terrain we usually dig and embark land to give the terrain the required shape. It would be nice if after selecting the terrain we could have a list o the fills that produced those operations. We could, after selecting it from the list , delete, move, edit geometry, or edit parameters. press apply.. the terrain is ready again.

The difficult part as architerra is now is maintaining a terrain is hard. Creating is easy.

I hope i was clear (its hard to explain in a foreign lagruage.)

Dear oreopoulos,

1. I don't agree: the main difference in respect to other competitors is that the ArchiTerra result is a Mesh. The mesh provide the users with more edit issues in respect to a library part... But what you asked for could be reach: a spreadsheet with the list of the points that can be edited and exported... OK, for ArchiTerra 3.0

2. ArchiTerra 3.0 will work just as you asked for...

Thx for the reply Fabrizio.

The resulting structure (mesh , object....) was not what i was suggesting.
But you covered me with your reply.
If i can see a spreadsheet with the points and edit (delete add) on a given terrain then editing is great!.

I am sure ArchiTerra 3 will be great
