Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing a long delay in the HOME SCREEN menu when opening Archicad 28 and when deleting recent projects.
The same delay also occurs when I open the HOME SCREEN while working on a project.
Is anyone else facing these issues?

Eduardo, yours is fast!
Mine is even slower than yours, so I have a very, very long list of recent files!

Just spent the last 30 min cleaning the Recent File list and after only leaving only one in the list the time from launch to selecting the file is down to 11 seconds.

@Eduardo Rolon thanks to trying and confirming. I will enter a high priority bug in our database to fix this.

The problem with slow start screen has been around for quite a while for me since AC24, especially after a huge module publish, most likely due to the recent open files list. To clear it quickly I always close all AC and delete the "Recent Documents (Project).prf" and "Recent Documents (Symbol).prf" under:
C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\Graphisoft\ARCHICAD 26.0.0 XXX R1\
or
~/Library/Preferences/GRAPHISOFT/AC 26.0.0 XXX v1
and it should be instantly quick afterward. I guess it still applies to AC28

Dear Minh,
Thanks for your help. I deleted those two files from the folder you mentioned, and now everything is working fine.
For now, it seems that the issue is caused by the "Recent Files List."
I'm not saying the problem is fully resolved yet—I’ll monitor it for a few days to see how it performs.
Best,

I am not sure that it is the recent file list itself that is the problem.
I suspect it has something to do with the preview (symbol) files that are saved for each file in that list.
Just a hunch on my part.
But keeping the recent file list to a minimum in all versions with the start/home screen seems to help.
Barry.
