Control+d still drags and control+e still rotates etc. But when I try to drag a copy or rotate a copy it just makes a sound and nothing happens.
Any ideas???

Hey Nathan, Can you please elaborate your question a little more as I am getting confused with the query.
You have said that you are using a Yosemite version, and ctrl+d and ctrl+e are dragging and rotating respectively.
But as much as I know about Yosemite, in this almost all the shortcuts worked with COMMAND key. For drag, you need to press the COMMAND key while using the mouse at the same time.
Please revert if you want anything else.

Hi Jason
Sorry, I meant to write Command+Shift+D.
I have since fixed the problem by putting the shortcuts in manually and now they work perfectly!
Thanks for the reply.
