Copy Objects

In Version 7.0, you had the options to "Drag a Copy" and "Mirror a Copy", these seem to have disappeared in Version 8.1.

What I would like to achieve, for example: "Mirror a Copy" of a window around the mid point of a wall.

Perhaps these options have been replaced with another command?

Many thanks

go to preference- miscellaneous and check the relevent box.
Alternatively (and better) hold the option key down during the non copy transformation and a copy will occur.

Thanks Aussie John for the quick reply!

The check was missing from misc. and is now working as before.

"Option Key" is that for a MAC? I'm using a PC, is the "Control Key" the equivalent?

yes is for Mac- start your drag or mirror and before commiting it with enter then press your alt key( experiment) and a little plus sign if you have hit the right key

Don't forget to mention that this is a toggle, and that you can use ctrl+alt for multiple copies! Just double click to finish the command - and no you won't copy two on top of each other doing that!

For greater speed, you don't even necessarily need to hit ctrl+D - best used with the arrow tool, just click on your selected items and start dragging them. Then have at the ctrl and alt keys all you like!
