ESCAPE "ESC" KEY NOT WORKING IN AC 20

We recently started using the AC 20 and the esc key is not working to deselect or cancel actions. In other threads they talk about Photoshop or other program causing issues, or restart computer or just AC. However AC 19 works fine. The problem is intermittent every once and a while it does work.

I am in AC20 and Windows 7 and having the same ESC key issue. Works sometimes and not others. There are a few in the office that have not had the problem so that makes it real confusing. space bar+ESC seems to be a work around until the fix is in.

Even with you palettes docked or closed?
In particular the Favorites and Profile Manager palettes.

Looks like just the Profile pallet is the problem, we have closed it on those who were having the problem and all was fine. We have not found the problem occurring with another pallet yet.

Hi all,

I'm getting the same issue even with only the navigator pallette open. I have all other commands as docked toolbars and it is infuriating.

Any idea when this is getting fixed? It's costing my team serious time now. 😕

I have the same issues with ESC on my computer. Esspecialy with custom profiles. Restarting ArchiCAD helps for a while.

Brand new machine so hardware is not the problem.

OS: Wind 10 PRO.

Please fix it ASAP.

Hello All,

I'm the BIM Manager for an office with 17 ArchiCAD users, (Windows 7 Pro, Bluebeam, BIMserver20, -Mostly teamwork projects).

I've just successfully updated the whole office to AC20 this weekend, and have included a new Office Work Environment Standard that includes the new favorites pallet undocked and open as default. Closing this pallet, and/or docking it to the sidebar, eliminates the ESC key issue everyone is seeing. I've now tested this on at least 6 machines all exhibiting this behavior.

This puts a damper on our office adoption of the upgraded Favorites Pallet. I'd recommend this being a priority fix.
